Job Description:
Baptist Health is looking for an Internal Auditor to join our team in Louisville, KY
The Internal Auditor will plan and review the auditing activities for assigned engagement level audit. Assist with audit goals and evaluate engagement level controls. Catalog and analyze engagement level risks and develop measures to test and reduce them. Create, facilitate and distribute communication to process owners. Report audit results to the Chief Auditor, and Audit Manager backed by supporting evidence. Manage exit conference for audit engagement level reporting.
Essential Duties:
Reviews operations or programs to ascertain whether results are consistent with established objectives and goals and whether the operations or programs are being carried out as planned.
Reviews the systems established to ensure compliance with policies, plans, procedures, laws, and regulations that could have a significant impact on operations and reports and should determine whether the organization is in compliance.
Evaluate systems to ensure adherence to policies, plans, procedures, laws, and regulations.
Report on compliance status and recommend corrective actions.
Ensure programs are executed as planned.
Assess whether operational results align with established objectives and goals.
Minimum Education, Experience, Training and Licensures Required
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Health Information Management, or other related field with two years' experience.
Four additional years of healthcare-specific internal audit experience in lieu of degree.
CIA, CPA, CHA or RRA preferred.
