Description Job Title: Internal Auditor Location: Greater Hartford area / Hybrid opportunity (2 days remote)! Key Responsibilities: + Execute and assist in planning and conducting internal audits, including financial, operational, and compliance audits, to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and adherence to policies and procedures + Participate in risk assessment activities to identify potential areas of risk and develop audit programs accordingly + Prepare and maintain detailed audit workpapers, findings, and reports in accordance with established standards + Perform substantive testing, analytical reviews, and substantive procedures to test the reliability and integrity of financial and operational information + Participate in department projects to strengthen the team’s policies and practices + Identify areas for improvement and make practical recommendations to enhance control procedures and operational efficiency Requirements: + Bachelor's degree in accounting + CPA or CPA in progress is a plus. + 0-3 years of experience in audit or internal audit roles (including internships) + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
