Internal Auditor - Risk

A global banking client is looking for Internal Auditors to join the Enterprise Risk Management team. The Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Assurance Program Team is responsible for the audit planning, and execution of the highly critical firmwide Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERMF) Uplift Program. This role works closely with senior audit leadership, relevant stakeholders, and their respective teams to support timely and coherent delivery of key commitments within the Firmwide Enterprise Risk Management Uplifts Program. This role will offer exposure to all divisions within the bank. The ideal candidate is someone that has between 3-5 years of audit experience and a risk management background of some capacity, preferably nonfinancial/operational risk. They are looking for analytical self-starters that can immediately come in and help execute on the audit projects right away, research / read up on previous work papers both online and internally on a range of topics, participate in stakeholder meetings, and develop audit conclusions. Some main responsibilities include:
- Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of the Firmwide Enterprise Risk Management Uplifts Program including its objectives, key governance and oversight structures
- Work closely with relevant senior Stakeholders and their respective teams to support timely and coherent delivery of the independent validation of key commitments critical to the Firmwide Enterprise Risk Management Uplift Program
- Review, support and facilitate updates and reviews with Internal Audit senior leadership, stakeholders and regulators, as required
- Plan and develop audit work program and test plan to ensure audit fieldwork is risk-based focused
- Perform the execution of audit testing and ensure documentation meets high quality standards
- Identify risks, assess mitigating controls, and make recommendations on improving the control environment
- Prepare commercially effective audit conclusions, and present to IA senior management and business stakeholders
