Internal Auditor (Rotation Program)

Our Internal Audit team is seeking a drivenprofessionalwho is passionate about partnering with teams to make our business stronger through the delivery of IT, operational, accounting/financial, and compliance audits.

We provide a collaborative learning environment supported by strong mentorship and diverse career opportunity. While rotating with Internal Audit you will have an opportunity to gain an in-depth understanding of HDR’s project delivery lifecycle, key business processes, policies, and procedures to provide management an independent view of risk and controls.

In addition to supporting Internal Audit’s initiatives, the rotational program is designed to:

Provide participants with greater insight into HDR’s business operations,Enhance and diversify the individual’s skill set and critical thinking, andBuild the participant’s network within the organization.

The Rotational Auditor should be adaptable, eager to learn, and comfortable taking on new challenges in a fast-paced environment. This individual will be responsible for learning and analyzing business functions, project accounting practices, and related analysis of project financial indicators, assessing risk to the business, and performing audit procedures accordingly. The individual is expected to maintain organized documentation, and effectively communicate the results of audit procedures to management.

The Rotational Auditor should display professionalism, dependability, integrity and trustworthiness, and the ability to work within a collaborative team setting. The individual should have the confidence to productively challenge and question existing processes to drive continuous improvement, including within HDR and the Internal Audit function. Strong communication skills are required as the individual will often collaborate with project teams and area management, regional operations leadership, and corporate program directors.

The duration of the rotation program is between 9 and 18 months. Travel requirements could reach approximately 20%. Travel is typically required for durations of three to five days. The work schedule may sometimes exceed a typical 8-hour day.

This is a temporary developmental program; the selected candidate’s compensation will remain the same, and will continue to participate in HDR’s annual performance based compensation plan.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field This individual should have a basic level of analyzing business functions, assessing risk, and tailoring the nature, extent and timing of audit procedures accordingly An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
