Focus: The Internal Communications and Event Coordinator is responsible for managing the flow of internal communications within the organization and coordinating corporate events. This role ensures that employees are informed, engaged, and aligned with the company’s goals and culture. The coordinator also plans, organizes, and executes events that strengthen team morale and support organizational objectives. This position will also be responsible for marketing content with local radio and television outlets.
Internal Communications and Event Coordinator Essential Job Functions:
Develop and implement internal communication strategies across various channels to keep employees informed and engaged. Plan and execute various corporate events to include managing logistics, vendors, and budgets. Support employee engagement initiatives, including recognition programs and diversity/inclusion efforts. Create and manage content for internal platforms, ensuring consistency in messaging and branding. Track and report on the effectiveness of communication campaigns and events, providing recommendations for improvement. Manage the company’s volunteer efforts, including charitable giving.Internal Communications and Event Coordinator Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree* 2 years of experience in internal communications, event planning, marketing or a related role. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with communication platforms (e.g., Slack, Microsoft Teams) and event management software. Occasional travel to local event venues.Location-Specific Requirements:
Must have a valid US Driver’s License. This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls if required. This position requires successful vetting as an Employee Possessor in accordance with U.S. Department of Justice and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
