The actual hourly rate for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards. **Salary Range** $23.00 - $25.00 **Target Openings** 4 **What Is the Opportunity?** The goal of the Marketing & Communications Intern Program is to attract and develop self-motivated individuals who are interested in the field of Marketing & Communications. As interns, you will be exposed to a challenging work experience with planned activities giving you insight into business and the many career options that lie ahead for you. With many company-wide and community outreach events, you will have the opportunity to interact and network with many levels of leadership and management. Opportunities will be available within internal communications, embedded within various business units. **What Will You Do?** Specific responsibilities include: + Writing and editing copy for _inside_ (Travelers’ intranet), mass email and other channels used to promote enterprise and campus content. + Creating graphics, laying out content and publishing articles. + Designing web pages for the intranet. + Collaborating on communication plans for company initiatives and leaders. + Helping plan and promote Employee Day activities leading into the Travelers Championship. + Assisting with coverage and other tasks at the Travelers Championship. + Support other internal communications projects and campaigns as needed. **What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?** + Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater. + Currently enrolled in undergraduate or graduate program, with a focus on communications, English or marketing. + Strong verbal and written communication skills. + Intermediate PowerPoint and Excel skills. + Experience writing and editing social media copy and using Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and Instagram for business purposes. + Design experience a plus. + Ability to think creatively and stay on top of digital trends. + Basic project management and analytical skills. **What Is a Must Have?** + Obtained or pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree. + Must be 18 years of age. + Legally authorized to work in the U.S. now and in the future. **What is a Must Have?** + Obtained or pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree required + You must be 18 years of age to apply + Legally authorized to work in the United States now and in the future **Employment Practices** Travelers is an equal opportunity employer.
