The Opportunity

The Internal Communications team is a small team plus Head of Comms, focusing on specific areas, which encompass:

Employee and executive communications Content creation and channel management Engagement strategies Strategic programme support

The purpose of the Senior Internal Communications Manager role is to promote and drive impactful internal communications to a diverse audience across the UKIMEA region using a range of channels and techniques.   Our goal is to ensure that members are informed, engaged, and connected to Arup’s regional and global strategy goals and objectives.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Internal Communications Lead and other internal communications colleagues to ensure activity is well planned and understood and aligns to our region priorities.  They will also work with with the external communications team, the Marketing & Communications  business partners and other stakeholders, sharing plans and content to drive efficiency and consistency and ensure alignment of internal/ external messaging.

The post holder will be developed professionally through the UKIMEA Marketing & Communications network. 

This role reports to the Internal Communications Lead and will be responsible to line manage a member in the team, working with them to develop their skills and support their career development.

Is this role right for you?

We are looking for people who:

Have a proven background in internal communications, working in a matrixed/professional services environment. Have strong skills in written communication, copywriting and editing. Have the ability to craft content and approaches in an ambiguous environment, and be adaptable to changing business requirements. Have a highly collaborative working style across the wider Marketing & Communications community. Are creative curiosity and demonstrable interest in best practice internal communications techniques, with the ability to write for various voices using different tone or style to convey a message.
