Internal Communications - Senior Specialist (m/w/d)

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Internal Communications team at Marsh McLennan. This role will be based in Frankfurt.

This individual will develop and execute a strategic approach to effective communications. He or she will need to establish strong, trusting relationships with leaders and key stakeholders across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Additionally, this individual will be a member of a strong regional Marketing and Communications team and a global Center of Excellence for Internal Communications. Collaboration with the regional team as well as the marketing teams in the respective countries is essential to ensure cohesive and impactful communication efforts.

We will count on you to:

Execute internal communication strategies that align with Marsh McLennan’s purpose, vision and priorities and drive the Europe strategy. This includes identifying target audiences, crafting key messages, and distributing communications via appropriate channels to convey information effectively.

Create engaging and informative content for internal communication materials such as newsletters, intranet content, emails, and social channels. Ensure content is clear, consistent, and aligned with Marsh McLennan’s values and culture.

Gather and analyze data related to internal communication efforts, including colleague feedback, engagement metrics, and communication channel effectiveness. Use this data to recommend improvements in communication strategies.Develop and execute initiatives to enhance colleague engagement and promote a positive workplace culture. This may include organizing events, surveys, and feedback mechanisms to gauge colleague satisfaction and gather input for communication improvements.

Assist in managing communications related to change initiatives. Ensure that colleagues are informed about changes, understand their implications, and feel supported throughout the transition.
 

What you need to have: 

Degree level education in Journalism or Communications.

5-7 years of experience in internal communications or related roles.

Excellent written English and German language skills.

Strong written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated ability to convey (in writing) complex information in clear and understandable formats to a wide range of audiences with differing levels of understanding.

Proficiency in digital communication tools and platforms, including experience with email marketing software, intranet systems, social media platforms, and other collaboration tools.

Disciplined, plan-based approach to communication. Executes flawlessly and always meets deadlines.

Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills to measure the impact of internal communications initiatives and provide recommendations for improvement.

Change management experience, specifically helping employees navigate transitions and maintaining employee engagement and morale during change.

Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced global environment; open to new ideas and able to navigate through ambiguity and uncertainty.
