State Street is looking for an Internal Communications Specialist, Assistant Vice-President, who will work as part of a dynamic team to develop and execute compelling communications programs via various channels, including email, video, intranet, social, and live events. In this capacity, the candidate will be responsible for curating a wide range of content, including the intranet, crafting executive messages, formulating talking points and briefing documents, managing the full lifecycle of events such as town halls, working with the creative team to add visual interest, and provide ongoing proofreading support for the team.

Responsibilities
As an Internal Communications Specialist, AVP, you will work as part of a dynamic team to develop and execute compelling communications programs via various channels, including email, video, intranet, social, and live events. In this capacity, you’ll be responsible for curating a wide range of content, including the intranet, crafting executive messages, formulating talking points and briefing documents, managing the full lifecycle of events such as town halls, working with the creative team to add visual interest, and provide ongoing proofreading support for the team.
What you’ll be doing:
Manage discrete communications projects/programs from beginning to end.Support the creation and execution of comprehensive communications programs across the businesses including Global Markets, Investment Services, and Technology and Operations.Write and distribute content and messaging (e-mails, talking points and briefing documents, organizational announcements, video scripts, intranet articles, blogs, etc.).Support strategic discussions and strategic planning communication for senior business leadersLearn about the internal communications function and the businesses you support in order to deepen connectivity and expand responsibilities.Plan and execute town halls for senior executives.Provide communication support and expertise on strategic projects.Requirements
BA/BS degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism or related degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the Communications field, preferably in Corporate Communications; solid understanding of the financial services industry preferred.Well-developed strategic thinking, attention to detail and tactical execution skills; excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.Proactive by nature, accountability focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.Ability to effectively partner with direct management, team members and internal clients and comfortable working across all levels of the organization.Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize high-volume, high-priority initiatives; work independently and as a member of a team with energy, integrity, and eagerness to learn and contribute.Demonstrate respect for a diversity of opinions and styles and accepts accountability and responsibility.Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.Experience with Microsoft suite of products, including SharePoint and VivaEngageSalary Range:
$80,000 - $132,500 AnnualThe range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
