Responsible for the development and execution of internal communications activities for assigned business units and geographies.
Primary Responsibilities: Work with internal “clients” to develop, manage, implement, and evaluate bank-wide and targeted internal communications plans and strategies for bank-related products, service, activities, personnel, issues, etc.. Identify, prepare and implement plans for significant organizational announcements and respond to employee inquiries. Build relationships with employee contacts and serve as advocate for improved communication practices.Contribute to the bank’s employee-related publications.Oversee and manage some intranet functions within the department.Coordinate or assist in the coordination of other internal bank communications. Manage other writing assignments and projects as needed.Scope of Responsibilities:Will work with business lines and geographies to assist them in meeting their business objectives – work will impact targeted employee populations as well as the bank as a whole.
Supervisory/ Managerial Responsibilities:Administrative assistant and interns only.
Education and Experience Required:Bachelor’s degree in communications or related field or equivalent in experience
Minimum five (5) years experience in a professional communications position (employee communications, advertising, public relations, etc.).
Superior written and verbal communication skills.
Strong project management skills.
Strong interpersonal skills, sound judgment, and the ability to think quickly, act professionally, and present ideas effectively and earn buy-in with all levels of management.
Excellence PC skills with proficiency in MS Office (Word, Access, Excel), GroupWise, Adobe PhotoShop, FileNET/internet and/or design experience a definite plus.
Knowledge of print and electronic publication preparation and production, as well as intranet skills.
Ability to effectively multi-task and manage numerous projects simultaneously with high-quality results.
Willingness and ability to accept constructive criticism from peers, supervisors and executives throughout the bank.
