As a senior member on SCI’s Internal Communications team, you'll engage and inspire our associates, creating impactful communication programs that align with our Company strategy and drive employee engagement. You’ll be at the forefront of our efforts to keep our team informed, motivated and connected.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develops and implements communication plans for key stakeholders, ensuring messages are tailored to specific audiences and designed to inspire and drive action.Independently creates communication strategies for significant Company initiatives, coordinating with various teams, setting project timelines, and measuring success.Creates creative, compelling and concise content for our employee communications programs, including videos, infographics, images, articles, leader meeting materials and more to keep our various associate audiences informed and engaged.Collaborates with the head of Internal Communications to manage the team’s content schedule.Develops executive messages, announcements, talking points and video scripts.Coordinates with graphic designers, videographers and other team members to create visually appealing and engaging communication materials that adhere to Company brand guidelines and messaging.Plans and executes various Company-sponsored events.Monitors and analyzes communications analytics to understand readership trends. Uses insights to enhance content strategy, improve communication channels and increase engagement.Coordinates and maintains the Company’s Internal Communications crisis communication plans and protocols.Serves as a mentor to junior communications team members to ensure consistent and effective communications practices.Stays informed about industry news and trends to identify potential communication opportunities and risks.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, English or related discipline                   

Experience

At least five (5) years work experience in Internal Communications or a similar role, creating and delivering content across multiple channels tailored to specific audiences

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, ability to craft professional communications using AP style, ensuring accurate spelling, grammar and punctuationExcellent relationship-building skills and the ability to collaborate with all levels of managementProcess and results oriented, motivated to keep projects moving ahead by removing obstacles and exploring alternativesSolid organizational and multitasking abilitiesSelf-motivated with the ability to work independentlyStrong cognitive abilities, including problem-solving, comprehending and clarifying complex ideas, and quick learningProficient in MS Office Suite, with experience in FirstUp, Canva, Wistia and SharePoint preferred
