Position Summary

We are seeking an Internal Data Warehouse Development and Administration to join our team!

The SQL Developer/ETL Developer role is to plan, design, install, develop, test and implement SQL based operational and reporting solutions. This position also requires extensive knowledge and experience with supporting third party application integration solutions with CFNA core operational processes. All project and support tasks must be completed consistent with Company goals, industry best practices and regulatory requirements while ensuring data protection and security in highly visible, mission critical environments

Responsibilities

In this role, your primary responsibilities will include:

SQL Developer Qualifications
Experience with SQL Server and SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)
Experience with Managed File Transfer (MFT) solutions for external data integration solutions

Experience with SQL query performance tuning and optimization

Proficient with SQL database concepts of data modeling and design principles

Experience SQL Server Agent for complex job scheduling and triggering

Proficient and generating Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERD) and documentation of metadata related to new data assets

Experience supporting a Data Warehouse environment/architecture

Proficiency in writing complex queries and scripts

Experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)

Experience with monitoring SQL Server performance using tools like CloudWatch, Performance Insights, Query Store, and Dynamic Management Views (DMVs).

Ability to collaborate with software engineers and data teams to integrate AWS-hosted SQL Server databases with enterprise applications and analytics platforms.


Acquisition & Deployment
Review project requests describing database user needs to estimate time and cost required to successfully accomplish a project.
Participate, with responsibility for some major deliverables, in the transition of support for new IT solutions that have been implemented for customer by the Database Technical Services team or other implementation partners.

Operational Management
Collaborate with DBA to create models for new database development and/or changes to existing ones.
Identify and resolve ETL processing performance issues.
Plan and coordinate data migrations between systems.
Develop, implement, and maintain change control and testing processes for modifications to ETL processes.
Assume primary responsibility during problem resolution. Uses troubleshooting techniques to identify root cause and implements permanent corrective action to resolve issues.

Incidental Functions
Assist with projects as necessary to contribute to efficiency and effectiveness of the work.
Attend management meetings on behalf of team.
Provide periodic 24/7 on-call support of specific functions.
Minimal travel as required.
Working outside the standard office 8.0 hours workday as required; on-call availability.


Experience Required:
3 - 5+ years IT experience.
Strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices.
Experience with data processing flowcharting techniques.
Project management experience.
Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.

Education Required
Bachelor degree or equivalent experience.

Typically requires a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience.
