Job DescriptionVisually inspect finished tires to assure quality specifications are met prior to shipping to customersResponsible for inspecting finished tires, identifying and marking defects, and classifying defectsResponsible for handling tires and rerouting to correct areaInspection may cover safe launch, dock audits, visual inspectors, and sorting activitiesSupport internal and/or PPS product audit if necessaryPerform dock audits on outgoing shipmentsPerform sorting of quality hold tires in finished goods warehouseRead specifications, use hand tools and gauging devices to monitor current and ongoing product qualityReact quickly to quality issues, equipment downtime, or other extraordinary condition and notify supervision whenever such conditions occurFollow standard practices and perform all work necessary to promptly and accurately obtain quality and quantity productionFollow plant policies, safety policies, environmental policies, and keep work area(s) neat, clean, and orderlyMust be able to receive and follow written and oral instructions as to specs, procedures, tolerances, and various construction and quality requirementsMust be able to pass titmus eye exam with or without corrective lensesMust have basic computer, Microsoft Excel, and problem-solving skillsMust have component knowledge, accuracy, and strong communication skillsFollow the internal ESH work instructions in the daily workDemonstrate exemplary personal behavior in ESH and motivate othersEnsure immediate notification and response, and initiate preventive measures in case of unsafe or polluting hazardsSupport the Continental Business System (CBS ) structure by participating in the applicable CBT meeting, reviewing and managing his/her/team performance, conducting simple problem-solving using action sheets, identifying and implementing improvement opportunities, participating in the CBT reviews, and taking ownership for presented parts of the team boardsOther duties as assigned

Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or GEDOne or more years’ experience in a manufacturing environmentMust be able to work 12 hour 2-2-3 pattern (panama) shift 6:45-7:00 (can be either days or nights) including every other weekendLegal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
