Your role and responsibilitiesIn this role, you lead the execution of internal strategic projects at multi-national, regional, or global function level using ABB and/or 3rd party resources. Leads project execution in accordance with company procedures, relevant cybersecurity regulations and standards, project objectives, applicable quality standards, safety requirements, and cost and scheduling targets. Applies project management processes as applicable. Internal strategic projects are defined as improvement or change projects that add value to the business by improving processes and/or related activity costs by meeting clearly defined strategic objectives, schedules, and budgets, having a duration of at least 12 months.The work model for the role is: #LI-OnSiteThis role is contributing to the Electrification Area in Apodaca, Nuevo Leon. You will be mainly accountable for:•\tLeads the team allocated to the project, defines main guidelines, allocates project tasks, and motivates and monitors internal and/or external resources to accomplish all tasks and milestones.•\tEnsures projects follow sound methodology and execution practices in accordance with standard ABB internal directives and procedures.•\tKeeps up to date and informed about any change in strategy and is consulted regarding any activities or other project(s) which have, or might have, a major impact on the project.•\tDevelops a project charter and a project plan describing how the project will be executed for communication to project team members, key stakeholders, approval, and as the basis for execution.•\tMonitors and controls project cost and financials. Identifies, contains, and reduces risk and ensures that all opportunities are captured and acted upon.•\tAnalyzes procurement needs for the project and reflects these needs in the project plan and cost planning.•\tDevelops and manages team members through formal and informal mentoring and coaching, especially in L6S-based projects.
Qualifications for the role\t10 years of experience in project management, including greenfield projects in manufacturing environment.\tBachelors Degree in industrial, mechanic, electrical, mechatronic or similar engineering.\tExperience in greenfield project start-up.\tExperience in manufacturing issues in the electrical sector.\tValidation of activities in functions in all areas.\tA bridge between each of the functions and the plant manager so that the requirements are met.\tCoordination with the team that is building the ship.\tExperience in Risk & Opportunity Management.\tAdvanced English Level.
