We are looking for an experienced security industry specialist with background in risk, digital fraud, compliance, or cyber investigations with relevant risk management, fraud, or compliance industry experience and advanced technical (cybersecurity, crypto, security engineering, etc.) or data analysis skills (SQL, Python, Machine Learning, Data Science, etc.). This role will manage critical and high impact investigations and projects and scale their findings through technology and analytics (machine learning) to interpret risks across Amazon’s entire business segment while developing feasible and systematic solutions to solve endemic problems. The ideal candidate should be passionate about the use of advanced data analytics and technology to identify risk patterns and establish connections to uncover process and technology gaps to prevent fraud across Amazon stores worldwide. Key job responsibilities
• Complete risk analyses using complex data sets (SQL, Python, R etc.).
• Use high-level judgment to own our most complex internal risk investigations.
• Identify gaps and risks in Amazon's current mechanisms and policies and recommend solutions to product/policy owning teams.
• Use data and/or technical skills to discover new ways to scale risk signals resulting in the identification of all bad actors.
• Break problems into manageable pieces, ruthlessly prioritizing, and delivering results in an ambiguous and constantly changing environment.
• Conduct large scale deep dives to derive insights about tactics used to conduct abuse on our stores, identifying gaps and risk in Amazon's current mechanisms, systems, and policies.
• Discover solutions and convey detailed technical knowledge (verbally, in writing, and via diagram) to engineering, legal, and program/product management teams

The Trust & Store Integrity team (TSI) is responsible for creating a trustworthy shopping experience across Amazon stores worldwide by protecting customers, brands, selling partners and Amazon from fraud, counterfeit, and abuse as well as empowering, providing world‐class support, and building loyalty with Amazon’s millions of selling partners. The Special Projects and Investigations (SPI) team within TSI designs and implements policies, tools and technology innovations to protect customers by identifying and preventing abuse worldwide. Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Data Science/Analytics, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or related experience.
• 5+ years of relevant security industry experience in handling risk, fraud investigations, or regulatory compliance.
• Highly proficient in data analysis (SQL or experience with multi-terabyte and petabyte relational databases) or scripting (i.e. Python, R, MATLAB).
• High level of integrity and discretion to handle confidential information.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate security and business risk to a broad range of technical and non-technical audiences.
• Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills using hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases.
• Proven ability to deliver complex projects across multiple teams.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, teamwork, and collaboration skills.
• Strong critical thinker with the vision to work both tactically and strategically.
• Experience implementing repeatable processes and automation or standardization.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working in fast paced e-commerce organizations.
• Experience working within fraud, compliance, law enforcement, or intelligence organizations.
• Experience in adjacent domain areas like network engineering, Infosec, software development for e-commerce, or work involving software for API's or web scraping.
• Experience working with Threat Intelligence teams, threat modeling and familiarity with open source intelligence (OSINT).
• Master’s degree in or practical experience with data science or machine learning.
• Experience with AWS cloud solutions.
• Experience in Data Sciences, Machine Learning, or Artificial Intelligence.
• CISSP Certification or experience in multiple CISSP knowledge areas
• Demonstrated experience in areas such as digital forensics or internal investigations.
• Language proficiency welcomed (Mandarin, Russian, Japanese, or Spanish).

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $91,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $196,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
