Internal Service Engineer 1

Job Summary:

Hologic is seeking a skilled Internal Service Engineer to join our dynamic team in San Diego. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the optimal performance of our cutting-edge instrumentation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Technical Support: Conduct in-depth troubleshooting, repair, testing, and qualification of instruments. Preventive Maintenance: Proactively schedule and execute preventive maintenance tasks to minimize downtime. Issue Resolution: Efficiently document and resolve customer issues in our CRM system, escalating complex problems as needed. Quality Assurance: Collaborate with Engineering to identify and address quality issues, providing timely updates to management. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to regulatory requirements and quality control standards. Technical Documentation: Create, edit, and validate comprehensive technical documentation. System Validation: Develop and execute rigorous system validation plans and reports. Field Support: Provide technical support to Field Service Engineers and potentially travel to assist with installations, upgrades, or repairs.

Qualifications:

Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of chemistry principles, chemical handling techniques, and electronic testing equipment. Customer Focus: Ability to effectively interact with internal and external customers, meeting their needs and expectations. Problem-Solving Skills: Proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and develop innovative solutions. Organizational Skills: Strong time management skills and attention to detail. Technical Expertise: Preferred experience in robotics, fluidics, and pneumatics. Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with relevant regulatory standards and guidelines. Clear Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Background Check: Successful completion of a comprehensive background check.

Education and Experience:

Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or a related field preferred. Associate's degree or military experience considered. Experience: 0-2 years of relevant experience in a laboratory or technical support role, ideally with direct customer interaction.

 

The annualized base salary range for this role is $68,100 to $97,000 and is bonus eligible. Final compensation packages will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, geography, education, business needs and market demand.
