Description

 

Shift:                PRN - Four (4) 12 hour shifts per month required

12-hour shifts- 7a-7p & 7p-7a-must be able to work both shifts as needed

 

Location:          Travel between four (4) to ten (10) Emory locations within Emory Healthcare

 

Salary:             $23.00

We are seeking a capable Emergency Room Technician who performs a variety of clinical tasks to better facilitate patient care by directly assisting nursing and physician staff.

This includes IV insertion and placement of a foley catheter. Performs and documents vital signs, notifies triage nurse or physician on duty possibly critical patients, communicates as appropriate to waiting room patients. Conducts needs analysis to determine need for supplies based on ED volume. Monitors stock and supplies to ensure par levels are maintained. Ensures that physician orders are accurately entered into the computer. Answers phones and direct inquiries as appropriate. Performs other duties as required

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

Graduate of an accredited EMT or Paramedic training program.2.5 years of experience required.Previous ED experience required.Must have current certification as an EMT-I or Paramedic,Must have current BLS- American Heart Association (AHA), and ACLS(AHA) if Paramedic.Must be willing and able to work days and nights as needed.in relevant specialty area required within 1 year of employment.
