ProLogistix is seeking an International Freight Forwarder (Air/Ocean) to join our 3PL facility in Sumner, WA.

Monday – Friday | 8:00am-5:00pm | $28-$30 DOE | Temp-to-hire Opportunity

The International Freight Forwarder is a logistics professional who uses their knowledge of transportation (Air/Ocean) tactics and organizational skills to coordinate the movement of goods from manufacturers to retail locations, company storage facilities or directly to customers.

Your Responsibilities:

Freight forwarders have a variety of responsibilities to ensure the efficient transportation of goods.

Work closely with shippers, manufacturers, and corporations to devise a plan for transporting goods from one destination to another. Negotiate with shippers to determine freight pricing. Research and obtain insurance to protect goods should they get lost or damaged during the transportation process. Connect with warehouse facilities to create more options for freight storage at varying points during the transportation process. Prepare documentation to ensure goods can be transported both at the national and international levels. Use knowledge of technology to purchase and coordinate transportation procedures via advanced IT software programs.

Requirements/Qualifications:

Knowledgeable in 3PL’s (2+ years’ experience) Freight forwarding (3 years’ experience) International experience (Air and Ocean) Extensive knowledge of import/export regulations. Proficiently in logistics software and systems. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. Strong problem-solving skills. Customer service-oriented mindset. Detail-oriented and highly organized. Team player with a positive attitude. Ability to adapt to changing situations and environments.
