International Benefits Program Manager

What you'll do We are seeking a dynamic and experienced International Benefits Program Manager to join our International Benefits team and lead the management, administration, and optimization of employee benefit and leave programs across the Asia-Pacific and Japan (APJ) region. The ideal candidate will have solid expertise in benefits management, a deep understanding of local legislative requirements, and a passion for improving employee wellbeing and engagement. This role will focus particularly on India while also overseeing benefit operations across the APJ region, specifically Australia, Japan and Singapore. The position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Director, Benefits - EMEA/APJ. Responsibility Lead the annual benefits renewal process across the APJ region (Australia, India, Japan, Singapore), including liaising with brokers, insurance carriers, and other third-party vendors Conduct in-depth cost and plan design analysis to ensure the most competitive offerings for employees while staying within budgetary guidelines Negotiate plan terms, pricing, and renewal contracts to optimize benefit offerings and cost efficiencies Conduct regular benchmarking against industry standards and competitors to ensure benefits offerings remain competitive and aligned with regional expectations Use data-driven insights to advise on plan enhancements and support the long-term benefits strategy Stay current on all relevant labor laws, benefit and leave regulations, and tax policies across APJ countries Ensure benefit programs are stays in sync with local legal requirements and proactively address any legislative changes that impact employee leaves and benefits Oversee the financial management of benefits programs, ensuring effective budgeting and cost controls Track and report on benefit program expenditures, providing recommendations for cost optimization while maintaining high levels of employee satisfaction Develop and promote employee wellbeing programs, including physical, mental, and financial health initiatives Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g. ERGs, IMPACT) to integrate wellbeing into the employee experience Lead communication efforts to educate and engage employees on benefits offerings and the value of programs Create clear, concise, and accessible benefits materials, and facilitate open channels for employee feedback on benefits-related matters. Drive employee engagement by ensuring that benefits are seen as a key differentiator for the organization. Own the implementation and maintenance of employee benefits portals, ensuring easy access to information and a user-friendly experience for employees across APJ Partner with HRIS teams, payroll and third party providers to ensure the effective integration of benefits programs into HR and vendor platforms Manage the company's leaves of absence programs across APJ countries, ensuring leave documentation is current and aligned with local regulations Serve as a point of contact for employees and HR Business Partners (HRBPs) regarding LOA queries, and coordinate with payroll and HR Operations as needed Collaborate closely with HRBPs to understand the evolving needs of the business and employees, ensuring that benefits strategies align with organizational objectives Provide expert advice to HRBPs on benefits and leave-related issues, and support the integration of benefits programs into broader HR initiatives Be a key driver for India’s benefits programs, ensuring they are competitive and can support the entity’s rapid growth and hiring agenda Support site leadership All-Hands, through benefit presentations and FAQs Support weekly onboarding and inductions as required Act as a point of escalation for leave and benefit related issues arising in the IDC Job Designation Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation) Positions at Docusign are assigned a job designation of either In Office, Hybrid or Remote and are specific to the role/job. What you bring Basic Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration 8+ years prior experience with a focus on the APJ region Experience in using employee ticketing systems Experience in financial management systems for invoicing and POs Proficient in using HRIS systems and employee benefits platforms. Strong familiarity with Google Suite (G Sheets, Google Docs, etc). Preferred Expertise in competitive benefit offerings within the tech sector Deep understanding of regional trends, benchmarking and best practices within APJ Proven ability to serve as a trusted regional advisor to the broader International Benefits & Total Rewards teams Demonstrated capability to collaborate cross-functionally with teams such as Finance, Legal, Payroll, and HR Operations to ensure seamless execution and alignment of benefits programs Deep knowledge of APJ leaves of absence policies and practices to maintain compliance with local regulations Demonstrated ability to manage vendor relationships and negotiate complex benefit contracts High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, global environment A passion for employee wellbeing and a solid understanding of the diverse needs of employees across the APJ region Excellent written and verbal communication skills Life at Docusign Working here Docusign is committed to building trust and making the world more agreeable for our employees, customers and the communities in which we live and work.
