As our new Senior Classification Expert (f/m/d) in India, you will play a pivotal role as the primary contact for Siemens-Healthineers' business units and regions in all matters pertaining to goods-specific export control, sanctions, and embargo regulations. Your responsibilities encompass a range of critical tasks:? Conduct in-depth analysis of goods, encompassing hardware, software, and technology, based on technical attributes (e.g., physical, chemical, mechanical and electronic) and commercial characteristics (e.g., price, origin, calculation). Independently determine goods-specific export data in compliance with legal requirements such as AWR, EU Regulation, Customs Code, US Commerce Control List, India related Laws and regulations, among others,? Maintain up-to-date export control codes (AL/ECCN) and commodity codes (HS-Code) in both master and transactional data systems, ensuring alignment with changes in national and international laws,? Act as the expert resource within Healthineers, responding to complex legal inquiries posed by ECC units and business lines regarding goods-related assessments in the context of foreign trade and customs law,? Innovate and implement solutions within Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Supply Chain Management (SCM) processes. For the global marketability of Siemens Healthcare unit developments, devise export control and customs law-related labeling solutions and deliver comprehensive consulting services,? Collaborate in the development of technical and legal solutions to streamline the transfer of existing classification decisions from DE/US to other legal systems and countries,? Engage in cross-departmental and international projects, either leading them independently or as a team member,? Serve as the point of contact (following internal consultations) for external authority audits, including foreign trade and import trade audits, and internal reviews. This involves clarifying and addressing all pertinent questions within your area of responsibility.Qualifications and Experience:To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and experiences:? Hold a completed technical degree or equivalent education and/or have accumulated several years of professional expertise in the classification of goods related to export control and customs regulations,? Demonstrate international experience in projects or other forms of international collaboration,? Exhibit extensive knowledge of foreign trade law, particularly EU and US (re-) export law, and embargo regulations, as well as customs regulations,? Possess comprehensive awareness of all EU and US embargo restrictions,? Be proficient in goods classification according to DE, EU, and US (re-)export control laws, software, and de minimis calculations, ideally with prior experience as a classifier,? Strong hands-on HS Classification experience, good communication skills with the ability to communicate across all levels of the organization, manage / influence work of others, and have teamwork sprint,? Showcase a strong command of the English language, crucial for operating in our international environment, alongside a high degree of service and customer orientation, robust communication skills, and assertiveness.
