International Financial Planning & Analysis Lead

Provide leadership to MMC International Finance, working closely with the CFO to forge direction and delivery.Be a relied-upon counsel to the International CFO, International CEO and Regional CFOs.Take responsibility for reporting, analysing and explaining Marsh & Mercer International financial performanceOwn the budget process for Marsh & Mercer International, understanding opportunities and threats and build credible plans to deliver profitable growth in line with targets.Lead the forecasting process for MMC International, ensuring an appropriate mix of top-down understanding and client level analytics.Provide financial consulting and strategic support to senior management, including the provision of accurate, timely and insightful analyses of key projects in the business unit such as acquisitions, team hires, IT projects etcPartner with Corporate and Global Finance teams to ensure International performance is well understood.Ensure the business receives robust KPIs to run the business, including coordinating the collection of all performance indicators, highlighting trends and analysing causes of variances to budget, forecast and prior year.When needed, present and explain Marsh & Mercer Internationals financial results at management meetings, including an in- depth analysis of the revenue walk versus prior year.Prepare all sensitive and confidential analysis as directed by the CEOs or CFOSupport key matrix business (i.e. Affinity, Advisory)Develop financial models and analyses to support strategic initiativesChampion finance transformationPrepare board presentations, financial presentations, capital expenditure analysis, client profitability analysis and other projects requested by senior management.Supervision of Financial AnalystsWhat you need to have:
Full accounting qualifications (ACCA/CIMA or equivalent), with significant post qualification experience.Substantial experience of working in financial services, preferably insurance broking firm.Experience of presenting financial results & forecasts on a regular basis to senior executives, running a business budgeting processFinancial analysis skills to a high levelFinance change and transformation process management expertise and experience.Excellent stakeholder relationship building skills.Team leadership experience and skills.Excellent strategic capabilityEffective written & verbal communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to think creatively, be highly-driven and self-motivatedAbility to make decisions and solve problems that are general in natureWillingness to roll-up sleeves and work with team members in a hands-on management capacityAdvanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skillsWhat makes you stand out:
