You will be the International Flight Operations Coordinator for the Flight Operations team. We are looking for a pilot to join a dynamic flight operations team that supports worldwide fighter aircraft production.

This is a non-flying position with the potential to move to a flying role at a later time if desired.

What You Will Be Doing

As the the International Flight Operations Coordinator, reporting to the F-35 Production Senior Manager, you will lead all aspects of flight operations in support of post-production acceptance flying at all Final Assembly and Checkout (FACO) locations, domestic and international.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Primary Point of Contact (POC) for all matters related to flight operations support for international production, ensuring production acceptance flights are executed safely in accordance with DCMA Instructions, LM Aero Code, and international regulations.
Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Coordinate and direct the activities of all Flight Operations personnel as related to the support of both international and domestic production operations.

• Function as primary liaison with all internal and external entities (e.g. Ft. Worth production operations, flight safety, program leadership, LM FACO Leadership, customer military and MOD, program offices, and DCMA representatives, etc.), as tasked, on issues affecting international or off-site flight operations planning, execution, budget, facilities, personnel, technical, and administrative requirements.

• Develop overall detachment plans to support international or domestic production flight operations.

• Oversee domestic and international flight operations, to include Acceptance Check Flights, Operational Check Flights, Confidence Flights, Delivery Flights, and others as assigned.

• Advise and coordinate with management on Flight Operations aircrew support and requirements for all international flight operations and domestic flight operations, as assigned.

• Author and manage the Flight Operations Site Supplements and Procedures. Ensure compliance with customer, company, and program requirements relative to production flight operations.

• Identify, develop, and report findings, proposals and opportunities affecting international production acceptance operations.

• Coordinate and manage all annual or regularly scheduled international production flight operations inspections.

• Advise and assist Production Program Management on all requirements related to international flight operations.

• Train and qualify Detachment Coordinators (DetCo).

• Act as on-site Supervisor of Flying (SOF), Operations Duty Officer (ODO), etc.

• Act as on-site LM Flight Operations Mishap Coordinator.

**Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.**

Basic Qualifications:
• Suitable FAA Commercial Pilot’s Certificate (SE Land, Instrument Airplane)
• 1,000 hours first-pilot time in a tactical aircraft.
• Must be willing to travel and have a valid U.S. passport.
Desired Skills:
• F-35 or F-16 test, operational, or training experience.
• Knowledge of Lockheed Martin fighter systems.
• USN or USAF Aviation Safety Officer (ASO) experience
• Current FAA Class I or II medical certificate.
• Knowledge of information science and/or data science and methodologies for producing organizational metrics.
• Proficiency in using electronic databases.
• Experience leading small teams in an elevated stress environment.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
