Job Summary

Summary:

Responsible for supporting the delivery of patient care, participate in administrative tasks, and assist in various healthcare projects. Provide you with valuable hands-on experience in a dynamic healthcare environment and contribute to your professional development.

Essential Functions-Provide assistance to patients and their families, answering questions and addressing concerns within your scope of knowledge.

-Assist in scheduling patient appointments, ensuring efficient utilization of resources and optimal patient flow.

-Responsible for supporting the delivery of patient care, participate in administrative tasks, and assist in various healthcare projects.

-valuable hands-on experience in a dynamic healthcare environment and contribute to your professional development.

-Help with data entry and maintaining electronic health records (EHR) systems.


 

Qualifications

GENERAL OVERVIEW:Under the direction of members of the International team, the student will perform comprehensive duties in the International Patient Services office that support the needs of the international patient. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Triages incoming inquiries in various mediums, while providing assistance to walk-ins and telephone inquiries.Meets and greets patients and their families, providing individualized attention to patients' needs.Performs patient registration, ensuring accuracy of international demographics and financial data elements in the Hospital registration systems Assist with special projects, including research and collecting data and interviews regarding national and international health providers. Assists with data analysis for metrics. Sends out routine communication emails to potential visitors All other duties as assignedSKILLS/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:Possesses excellent interpersonal skills in order to assist both internal, external and potential partners. Demonstrated ability to work independently yet sustain ongoing relationships with colleagues and work collaboratively as a member of a team. Ability to multi-task with strong attention to detail and adhering to deadlines. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to protect the privacy of individuals and the confidentiality of employee and applicant information. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Microsoft Teams.Ability to remain flexible in order to handle and prioritize work from various department staff. Willingness to learn, adapt, and contribute as part of a healthcare team.QUALIFICAITONS:Currently enrolled in undergraduate program pursuing a relevant degree or diploma and have completed at least one year of the program.EDUCATION:High School Diploma or Equivalent requiredCan this role accept experience in lieu of a degree?
