International Payroll Analyst

About the Role:

We are seeking an International Payroll Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will gain a comprehensive understanding of our international operations while developing controls and procedures to ensure accurate payroll processing. You will ensure compliance in deductions and manage local cash flow needs, working with third-party providers. You will report to the Senior Manager of Payroll.

You will be in a hybrid position, which includes regular attendance to the Norfolk, VA office 3 days per week with the flexibility to work remotely for the remaining 2 days per week.

Responsibilities:

Verify payroll data against Workday and ensure all employee information is accurate.Manage new hires, terminations, and payroll changes, uploading data to providers.Reconcile payroll, approve third-party processing, and handle discrepancies.Provide payroll data to Finance and Newsroom Accountants for general ledger verification.Develop reports and support global tax compliance and shadow payroll.Serve as the main contact for payroll providers and accountants.Ensure compliance with legal, social, and pension obligations.Address employee inquiries, manage year-end processes, and maintain audit readiness.Monitor risks and escalate issues when necessary.

Basic Qualifications:

Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals qualification or equivalent.5+ years of experience in Payroll.International payroll experience, including France, Germany, Canada, and UK.

Preferred Qualifications:

French speaker preferred but not essential.Experience using Workday would be ideal but not essential.3+ years of experience in Microsoft Office software, specifically Word and Excel.Ability to convert complex data into meaningful information so actionable plans can be developed.Basic understanding of General Ledger liability accounts is desired.Willing to question and learn legal, statutory and social security requirements for each country.

The annual base pay range for this role is between $60,000 and $75,000.
