About the Role

Here at Howden Group Holdings, and reporting to the Head of Global Payroll, you will have overall responsibility for day-to-day management of the International Payroll Department and its processes and procedures. You will be responsible for leading a dedicated Payroll team, comprising of two team members, ensuring the accuracy and the timely processing of International Payroll and managing our third-party payroll provider to ensure the accurate and timely processing of our international payrolls.

Key Accountabilities

Oversee and lead end-to-end payroll operations for multiple countries and regions.Lead and motivate a small payroll team.Strong experience of third party vendors.Preparation, review and reconciliation of monthly payroll submissions in conjunction with the external payroll provider, ensuring the accurate processing of international payrolls.Payroll processing through third party vendor (Cloudpay) in 20+ countries.Ensure service levels are met whilst maintaining strong relationships and an accurate payroll function. Ensure Payroll compliance at all times and work with third parties to ensure compliance is delivered for international payrolls.Process 3rd party payments to local government accurate and in time.Manage third party payroll providers and work with benefits partners to ensure accurate management of all benefits that are managed through international payrollResponsible for the on-going review of international payroll processes, reviewing payroll controls and compliance through to implementing new efficiencies/payrolls and streamlining process.Develop a framework for international payroll management to ensure improved delivery standards can be met for any new future payroll set ups.Assist with internal and external audit requests.Provide training to team members, assist in monitoring workloads and high standards of work, quality and organisational performance is achievedDeal with international payroll queries from clients and providers.Keep up to date with regulations/legislation that are relevant and action where necessary working closely with the senior management team.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

A strong and effective leader, with excellent communication skillsHave the ability to plan and organise, whilst ensuring that key targets are consistently delivered, and statutory obligations are metGood reconciliation and analytical skillsMust have experience in Workday Payroll Ability to function as a team player, managing own priorities and communicating conflicting demands in a timely and appropriate mannerStrong written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrable experience of international payroll processing
