International Procurement Clerk - Laboratory Instrumentation And Consumables
Minimum requirements for the role:
A minimum grade 12 is essential for this role. Previous experience having worked in a procurement role working with international suppliers is preferred for the role. A certificate or diploma in buying or a related logistics qualification would be beneficial. Must have good negotiation skills, administration skills, planning and organizing skills, time management skills and problem-solving skills. The successful candidate should have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Previous experience having worked on Syspro is essential. High proficiency computer literacy with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Procuring laboratory instrumentation and consumables internationally from suppliers for customers within scientific and medical laboratory industry. Processing of orders to international suppliers and ensuring the orders are correct. Ensuring that MRP reports are done weekly and are validated against inventory history. Confirming product codes, descriptions and prices and ensuring that the correct quantities are ordered. Processing, verifying and releasing all orders on Syspro. Working closely with all product managers to ensure that order confirmations are placed with suppliers. Liaising and advising Product Managers and sales staff of order delays. Following up on outstanding orders placed with international suppliers. Receiving and capturing invoices from international suppliers. Working closely with the shipping company with regards to the importing and exporting of products to ensure that special clearing is approved on urgent orders and that clearing documentation is correct. Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
