Your New Role...
The International Regulations & Content Compliance department provides a wide range of corporate support to the Warner Bros. Discovery business. Amongst them, the department is responsible for a variety of broadcast and on-demand licenses, and the requirements that come with those licenses. This department must ensure compliance with these licenses, and the associated Codes, are adhered to.
Your Role Accountabilities...
Licenses Management: Oversee application, surrender, and general audit process for licenses, specifically focusing on CvdM licensing.Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and ensure adherence to the Dutch Media Act (Mediawet), CvdM’s policy guidelines, the Dutch Advertising codes, and other relevant regulations. EMEA Experience: Leverage regulatory experience within EMEA markets as a bonus to enhance and implement compliance strategies. Reporting: Manage the cadence of reports due to the Dutch Media regulator, e.g. reports on EU quota, prominence, access services. Ensure that departments are aware of their requirements, and on track to deliver on those requirements. Submit reports to the regulator. Tracking: Monitor and track license requirements to ensure we meet targets and quotas set by the Dutch Media regulator. Train and educate departments of these requirements. Query Response: Address queries related to license ownership and requirements for channel launches and other initiatives, e.g. inquiries related to advertising, sponsoring, commercial and cross-promotion.Database Management: Manage and enhance the licenses database for accuracy and efficiency.Creative Solutions: Collaborate with multiple departments to provide innovative solutions for commercial deals and partnerships.Document Review: Review and amend corporate information documents, charters, and related materials. Training: Provide training to various departments on license requirements and compliance.Regulatory Adaptation: Stay informed about new regulations and offer expert advice on compliance matters.Public Affairs: work with the government, MPs, regulators and (local) industry partners to achieve favourable implementation on issues important to the company in The Netherlands.Qualifications & Experience...
Master’s degree in Dutch Law (LLM)Knowledge of and experience with Dutch media legislation and with Dutch media regulator CvdM.Familiarity with Dutch advertising law.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Fluent in English (reading, speaking and writing at a professional level).Proven ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects.Creative-problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.Location:
