**Job Title: International Shipping Lead**
**Job Description**
The International Shipping Lead will be responsible for the coordination and timely shipment of international customer orders, ensuring the smooth facilitation of international freight movement for key customers. This role requires experience with ocean export logistics, including export documentation, customs procedures, and international shipping regulations and documentation.
**Responsibilities**
+ Lead a team of 4 to ensure all shipments' accuracy and adherence to production processes.
+ Provide performance feedback to the team and execute warehouse plans provided by the supervisor.
+ Process and maintain commercial invoicing and documents.
+ Conduct and attend internal meetings with supervisors and managers, fostering a team environment with constant communication.
+ Effectively provide shipment status updates.
+ Adhere to tight deadlines.
+ Offer ideas for continuous improvement.
+ Partner with the production team to schedule the processing of customer orders, oversee the preparation of shipments based on customer needs, and manage the consolidation and palletizing of orders.
+ Prepare files/folders with all pertinent shipping documentation.
+ Operate and navigate spreadsheets, schedule bookings, and collaborate with the shipping team to facilitate the loading of shipments.
+ Communicate with customer services regarding order status, shipment tracking, inquiries, and issue resolution via phone and email.
+ Update logistics information, purchase orders, and sales orders within the company's systems.
+ Coordinate and manage ocean export operations, including arranging shipments, preparing export documentation, and ensuring compliance with international shipping regulations.
**Essential Skills**
+ 2 to 3 years of experience in logistics operations and customer service.
+ At least 1 year of international shipping experience.
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, including Excel.
+ Knowledge of various import regulations and rules.
+ Detail-oriented and organized.
+ Excellent leadership communication skills.
+ Ability to handle a fast-paced environment and challenging workload.
+ Process-oriented with exceptional customer service skills.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Intermediate to advanced experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
+ Ability to facilitate meetings with internal business partners.
+ Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
+ Ability to lead and manage others while promoting a teamwork environment.
+ Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
+ Proactive in anticipating and alerting others to problems.
+ High detail orientation.
+ Takes initiative and needs little supervision.
+ Works well under pressure with tight deadlines and a sense of urgency.

**Work Environment**
The work environment is a climate-controlled distribution center. The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 6 AM to 2:30 PM. The role is hands-on, leading a team of 2 international clerks and 2 finishing associates responsible for preparing international customer orders for shipping via Air, International Parcel, and Ocean. The workspace includes a warehouse floor desk/cubicle.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Litchfield Park, Arizona.
