International Tax Accounting Manager

This role will be responsible for the following and other duties as requested:

• Responsible for review of all aspects of foreign tax provision under ASC740 for quarterly and annual financial reports, footnote, and the Long-Range Plan and determination of international uncertain tax benefits.
• Manage special projects including estimating the benefit of tax planning opportunities.
• Responsible for all international tax calculations included in federal taxable income including foreign dividends, gross-ups, Global Low-taxed Deduction for Foreign Derived Intangible Income and Foreign Tax Credit.
• Responsible for review and maintenance of previously taxed earnings and profits (PTEP) for specified foreign corporations and assessment of tax impact of foreign dividends or cash repatriations.
• Responsible for preparation and review of expense allocations used in calculation of foreign tax credit.
• Manages international tax compliance function, including the preparation of the following international tax calculations and forms: dividends, gross-ups, Global Intangible Low-Taxed Income (GILTI) and Section 250 Deduction for Foreign Derived Intangible Income (FDII), F5471, F8858, F8865, F8621, Boycott and Foreign Tax Credit.
• Provides support in reviewing new and existing laws, court cases, regulations, and rulings to ensure minimization of the burden.
• Provides relevant tax training and guidance to business areas on international tax compliance and tax reporting matters.
• Support the IRS audit by defending the Corporation’s tax positions on international tax matters including Deduction for Foreign Derived Intangible Income, Foreign Tax Credit and Global Intangible Low-Taxed Income.
• Responsible for managing a team of accountants in the department including training and development.
• Responsible for managing Pillar Two compliance.

This is a hybrid role with a dedicated day in the office for team collaboration, team building and training.
Basic Qualifications:
• 8 years of tax practice experience in public accounting or a large corporate tax department
• Technical skills in book and tax accounting
• Demonstrated knowledge and application of tax regulations
• Experience with ASC 740 Accounting for Income Taxes and Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications including:
Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Functions, Formulas)
Word
Powerpoint (Tables, Charts, Data Storytelling)
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Continuous learning attitude and willingness to teach others
• Demonstrated effectiveness in leadership imperatives
Desired Skills:
• CPA and/or Masters in Taxation degree
• 5+ years experience with a Big Four or large public accounting firm
• 4+ years experience leading teams
• Knowledge and experience in Mergers & Acquistions (due diligence & modeling) and Joint Venture activity
• Experience with Thomson Reuters OneSource, Oracle and Corptax
• Experience with AI, Alteryx, dashboards and/or digital transformations
• International tax experience specifically in Foreign Tax Credit, GILTI and FDII

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, Washington or Washington DC is $102,000 - $195,500. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
