Northrop Grumman's Mission Systems Sector - located in Linthicum, MD has an immediate need for an International Trade Compliance Analyst/Principal International Trade Compliance Analyst.
This role has an export operational focus and is part of the Transportation organization.
What You’ll get to Do:
- Implements corporate and government trade compliance processes through shipment transaction reviews of international movements of hardware, software, data, and services by the company, including export gatekeeping reviews and export clearance/clearance instruction, while maintaining applicable records in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Coordinates and facilitates exports across the organization and external stakeholders, generates or reviews commercial documentation and filings
- Determines the best method of transportation globally, referring to documentation for destination, considering factors such as export/import authority, expense, delivery times, and user requirements. Contact carriers and interdepartmental personnel to discuss delivery issues, recommending rescheduling, alternate routines, alternate carriers and the like.
- Communicates export transaction corrective action requirements with internal and external customers for missing or errant product compliance reporting and logistics fulfillment information and analyzes trends to improve delivery cycle times.
- Assists, as needed, in planning, scheduling, routing, and tracking export and import shipments within the enterprise TMS, while protecting corporate liability, contract delivery schedules, and quality standards.
- Derives and records HTS & Schedule B product classifications for hardware, software, and data within enterprise Export Management System
- Assists in internal customer training to support cross-organizational implementation and effectiveness of internal trade compliance controls.
- Supports internal trade compliance assessments and audits, including required documentation preparation and reviews with management, auditors, and legal counsel.
- Engages in or supports other departmental activities and special projects as needed, to achieve organizational objectives
- Provides procurement and contract-level review and guidance for material exports, including verifying export shipments against export licenses and license exemptions, classification, value and other key elements, to support transactional declarations made to CBP and participating government agencies such as BIS, DOS, Census.
The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and highly organized with Excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to multi-task several projects at once

Basic Qualifications for a level 2 Trade Compliance Analyst:

Salary Range: $67,200.00 - $100,800.00Salary Range 2: $82,900.00 - $124,300.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
