Northrop Grumman is currently seeking an International Trade Compliance – Customs Compliance Analyst – Level 2 or Level 3 to join our International Trade Compliance Team. This role can be located at any of our major space systems locations to include: McLean VA; Dulles VA; Linthicum MD; Gilbert AZ; Redondo Beach CA; Colorado Springs CO; and, Clearfield UT.
The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman Space Systems’ International Trade Compliance (ITC) Department, which provides support and guidance for international trade and logistics (export and import) to capture teams, program teams, supply chain and employees. The successful candidate will apply all aspects of U.S. import and export laws and regulations to enable the movement of tangible hardware, ensure integrity and schedule while achieving regulatory compliance with all customs authorities both domestic and foreign.
This position can be filled at either a Level 2 or 3.
In this job, you will:
Utilize expertise in trade compliance operations for import and export transactions.Execute complex transactions and projects, including valuation, assist management, planning, schedule, and routing guidance for oversized cargo and hazardous materials.Provide support fulfilling: Free Trade Agreements, Partner Government Agency requirements, Temporary Import Bonds (TIBs), NASA and DoD duty free entitlement opportunities.Coordinate and arrange transportation and logistics planning for international transactions.Engage with internal and external customers worldwide, customs brokers and freight agents to ensure timely and compliant import clearances and export transactions.Prepare and file import and export documentation necessary for compliant import and export transactions.Audit and maintain import and export transaction records to ensure compliance with internal and government regulations.Support payment of customs/freight forwarder and service supplier invoices and accounts payable processes.Run and analyze ACE reports.Work with US Harmonized Tariff Schedule and Schedule B classifications.Maintain relationships with freight forwarders, customs brokers, foreign consignees/suppliers, and other strategic vendors to control the efficient flow of hardware to meet program/sector requirements.Participate in cross-functional and/or cross sector working groups and projects as assigned.Support activities in other Functional Departments, as assigned.Other duties as assignedIf this job description reads like it was written specifically for you, consider joining our team!
Basic Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications for a Level 2:
Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of relevant professional experience in import or export trade compliance – OR – Master’s degree with 1+ years of relevant professional experience in import or export trade compliance. An additional four years of experience accepted in lieu of a degree.Basic Qualifications for a Level 3:
Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant professional experience in import or export trade compliance – OR – Master’s degree with 3+ years of relevant professional experience in import or export trade compliance. An additional four years of experience accepted in lieu of a degree.Additional Basic Qualifications for both levels:
Experience with the movement of commodities licensed by Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) and/or Department of State (DOS); CFR49 Dangerous Goods/IATA/ICAO Regulations; Government shipments/transportation processes.Preferred Qualifications:

Salary Range: $63,800.00 - $110,900.00Salary Range 2: $78,700.00 - $136,800.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
