THE WORK
The selected candidate will play a key role in supporting day-to-day jurisdiction and classification needs for the Sikorsky Line of Business (LOB), including all market segments. The candidate will serve as a member of the ITC team and will partner closely with engineering and the businesses to ensure compliance with all aspects of ITC regulations, to include timely and efficient jurisdiction and classification determinations, proviso interpretations, enforcement of policy, procedures, and support other ITC needs. Candidate will apply knowledge and understanding of detailed technical parameters to determine the export jurisdiction and classification of end-items, subsystems, components and parts, as delineated in the International Traffic in Arms Regulations and Export Administration Regulations. Candidate will apply knowledge and understanding of regulatory definitions of technical data and technology when conducting reviews of technical documents and drawings to determine export control status and document marking requirements. Reviews and interprets technical provisos and limitations imposed on export licenses. Assists in the development of requests to the U.S. government for proviso reconsideration or recommendations for system redesign or modifications as well as preparation of export licenses applications technical assistance and/or manufacturing licenses agreements. May research, analyze, and interpret engineering designs, and functional capabilities across multiple engineering disciplines including mechanical, electrical, materials, and systems engineering. Assists elements in identifying and addressing U.S. gov. technology and policy issues and concerns impacting existing and emerging technologies, products, and services. Researches, interprets and applies U.S. gov. international technology transfer policy criteria to product design and modifications required for international sale or collaborative design and development. As required, briefs U.S. gov. engineering staff and technology transfer decision makers on the design and performance capabilities and limitations of products and systems; negotiates technical solutions and technology control and system protection plans. Acts as liaison between International Trade Licensing, Compliance, Program Management, Research and Development Engineering, and other functional disciplines to provide engineering analysis, interpretive guidance, and training in support of international business development and sales.

Basic Qualifications:
Demonstrated familiarity with Aerospace technologies and products;
Extensive experience with applying ITC regulations to determine J&C of products, dealing with suppliers and J&C, and resolving J&C issues;
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered career, or journey, level.
Desired Skills:
Familiarity with DDTC and EAR licensing needs and applicability of J&C to applications;
Ability to work successfully in a functionalized environment and with stakeholders on other teams;
Positive attitude and ability to work well with teammates; Understanding of J&C needs of business and ability to appropriately prioritize and make decisions

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $90,200 - $170,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
