Burlington is hiring an International Import Treasury Analyst, responsible for approximately $1 billion in Burlington merchandise and transportation payments.  This position is responsible for daily/monthly financial & operational analytical support of accurately auditing, GL coding and processing for payments within contract terms from vendors and 3rd party providers. This position is responsible for creating, tracking, and analyzing reports to support the accrual and forecasting process.

 

The analyst is responsible for supporting our finance department with an accurate timely monthly close process, forecast, accrual, reporting, business objectives, strategic goals, and initiatives. You will support the finance department with internal and external auditors for periodic reviews regarding SOX and Customs compliance, support all corporate and DC receiving processes related to international payment matches

 

In this position, you will support our bank to accurately review and process merchandise letter of credit and open account payments as well as our cash management team to process and ensure that wire payments are processed timely, accurately and within payment terms. You will also be responsible for reporting and tracking all transactions for merchandise payments to our internal finance teams. Additionally, the analyst is responsible for auditing, pro-rate cost against PO CBM within containers, GL coding, and processing transportation and 3rd party provider invoices against contracted and spot rates.

 

A Day in the Life:

International 3rd party provider payments and reportingInternational vendor merchandise payments and reportingPartner with vendors and carriers to resolve any discrepancies Support finance department with an accurate timely monthly close process, forecast, accrual, reporting, business objectives, strategic goals, and initiatives.Support the finance department with internal and external auditors for periodic reviews regarding SOX and Customs compliance, support all corporate and DC receiving processes related to international payment matches.Creating, tracking, and analyzing reports to support the accrual and forecasting process.Develop and maintain partner relationships with business units and corporate stakeholders (IT, Bamboo Rose, Merchandising, Finance, Vendors, Carriers, etc.)Create Value-added reporting including KPI’s and Monthly Reporting MetricsSupport new business initiatives and special projects as requiredDemonstrate a good understanding and knowledge of accounting principles and internal controls and apply them to daily functionsCollaboratively work with other business partners Seek out process efficiencies and improvements

Proficiency in spreadsheet and computerized accounting applications.
