About the internship in property management:
The intern should be prepared to work in a fast-paced team environment and will finish the internship having gained broad experience in various aspects of the business.
+ Assist in creating signage, circulars, mockups, email campaigns, online promotion, etc.
+ Assist with the preparation and delivery of training materials
+ Assist with the development, execution, and monitoring of ongoing projects
+ Conduct research and analysis to support team initiatives
+ Support administrative tasks, including scheduling, document preparation, and data entry
+ Collaborate with different departments to learn about various aspects of the industry
+ Attend meetings and participate in brainstorming sessions
+ Assist with creating presentations, reports, and other project materials
+ Contribute to team efforts in problem-solving and process improvement
+ Work with the on-site team to gain insight into the day-to-day tasks and responsibilities for each position at the site level, including leasing, maintenance, financials, marketing, resident life cycle, and property events
+ Familiarize yourself with corporate business applications and techniques by following required internal training programs
+ Observe and participate in property operation meetings and shadow visits with senior team members such as the operations vice president, regional manager, and property owners
+ Work on special projects to build relationships and partnerships with other Avenue5 teams to achieve objectives
+ Use property management platforms contributing to day-to-day property operations
+ Create documentation describing processes procedures, programs, and experience
+ Research and develop an evaluation of a conceptual idea for the good of the property
+ Participate in all intern program events such as orientation, live talks with subject-matter experts, training and workshops, and all intern activities
+ Complete an analysis for other properties in the area
+ Perform other duties as assigned
Education and experience:
+ Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program, preferably in real estate
Skills and Requirements:
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills
+ Basic knowledge of (relevant software tools)
+ Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
+ Positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and proactive task approach
+ Ability to work both independently and as a part of a team
+ Prior internship or work experience is a plus but not required
+ Required to complete and successfully pass the Avenue5 Fair Housing and Preventing Discrimination and Harassment training and other courses, if assigned
