JOB SUMMARY:
The Horticulture Design intern will learn skills essential to successfully working on a high-end resort. Through visiting and analyzing resort venues, intern will be able to observe how planet material is used to compliment themes, a key element of landscape design. Intern will assist with prioritization, renovation needs, and partner with Placemaking teams on landscape elements.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Assesses current condition of resort landscaping, considering influences such as theme, maintenance, guests, and past successes.
+ Participates in field measurements.
+ Participates in park walks with Landscape Architect, Supervisors, Manager, and Vice President on a regular basis.
+ Observes area theme retention, health, and renovation needs.
+ Participates in hotel visits with Landscape Architect.
+ Assists with nursery visits with Landscape Architect or Supervisors.
+ Manages document control and reporting costs after design.
+ Organizes archival files and drawings.
+ Updates project tracking systems.
+ Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training, and Team Member involvement activities.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
+ In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution with current class standing of Sophomore or above.
+ Minimum cumulative 2.8 GPA is required.
+ A transcript is required upon application.
+ Preferred majors include: Landscape Architecture, Landscape Design, or similar.
PREFERRED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
+ Skill in Drawing, Sketching, and Writing.

+ This internship will be an in-person experience, based in our Orlando offices.
+ Interns must be currently pursuing a degree at an accredited university, and must have a graduation date later than December 2025.
+ Universal Orlando does not provide housing. Interns are responsible for their own housing and transportation.
+ All of our internships are paid, and you may also qualify for housing financial assistance if applicable. The Recruiter will provide specific eligibility details.
