Your Team
We offer an internship in \"Functional Characterization,\" where you'll work with multidisciplinary teams of associates/scientists dedicated to the in-depth characterization of complex biologics.
This project based internship in the field of synthetic biology/immunology is focusing on the development of a highly sensitive stable reporter gene cell line to characterize next generation large molecule therapeutics and evaluate new technologies for the development of potency assays.
Your tasks and responsibilities
Cell line engineering
Flow Cytometry and Fluorescence-Activated Cell Sorting (FACS) of cells
Cell-based reporter gene assays
Interpretation of data and transfer of results to your supervisor and contribution to the establishment/adaption of new protocols
Support interdisciplinary teams within the unit of Molecule Characterization
Your profile
You are currently enrolled as a student in Biology, Immunology, Biotechnology or a comparable study program for the entire duration of the internship
You are excited about learning new techniques, data processing, evaluation, and discussing results
You are willing to perform wet lab experiments and eager to establish new techniques
You are a highly motivated person, a strong team player, but capable of working independently where necessary
You have experience with aseptic techniques and mammalian cell culture practices
You have interest and basic knowledge in cell-based molecular biology methods
