Internship - IT Help Desk

This internship requires that all applicants be full-time residents of Maine or attend a college or university in Maine.\n

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE IT HELP DESK DEPARTMENT:\n

The IT Help Desk team oversees all areas related to IT support within Spurwink. The team also plays a major role in helping to prepare all the technological pieces related to onboarding new employees. The team's department is situated at our administrative offices in Portland, Maine\n

INTERN RESPONSIBILITIES:\n

As an intern, you will be able to assist the IT help desk team with the diverse work of their department. You will meet weekly as a cohort to help form camaraderie, share their experiences, and learn from knowledgeable Spurwink employees.\n

REQUIREMENTS:\n\nIn-person position (at our administrative offices in Portland, Maine)\nProgram Duration: 10 weeks (June 2nd - August 8th)\n4 days a week (8 hours per day)\n\n\nAbility to commute four days a week to our Portland, Maine.\nHave an interest in IT Help Desk.\nExperience with Microsoft 365.\nCreate a capstone project sharing educational goals, skills learned, and your experiences.\nAttend a weekly reflection session with a cohort of interns.\nAttend a weekly meeting with a supervisor.\n\n

QUALIFICATIONS: \n\nCandidates must exhibit enthusiasm for the work in the department and the mission of Spurwink Services.\nMust have strong communication skills, the ability to work independently, and critical thinking skills.\n\n
