Throughout your placement, you will find yourself: + Support the MES function with Recipe development and testing. + Supporting generation of validation test protocols and summary reports. + Assisting the development and implementation of continuous improvements projects + Supporting MES Team Audit Readiness through identifying and remediating audit risks. + Collaborating as part of cross functional project teams by providing guidance and offering solutions for the timely and cost effective improvement projects. + Participating in project teams in order to ensure that changes to existing products and processes are made in compliance with ADC quality system requirement Eleanor, a current Intern has said "My Internship at Abbott has provided so many great opportunities for me to learn and grow professionally, and my placement in Quality has improved many of my skills, and expanded my horizons" **What are we looking for?** You should be studying for a degree in a Computer or Electronic Engineering field, and be seeking a year in industry placement as part of your qualification. The ideal candidate will be a proactive individual who takes initiative and is able to work within a team and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing environment. You will need to have an interest in programming and databases queries, with good oral and written communication skills to be able to prepare reports and technical documents. You must be organised and flexible in your approach to work, with good attention to detail in order to ensure that data and analyses are accurate and meet the requirements of the project. We’re looking for someone who is passionate around STEM, and keen to pursue their career in the Medical Devices sector. Career growth and future opportunities are pillars of our program. The system consists of a hand-held meter or smartphone app, and disposable test strips or on-body patch containing a sensor. The meters are developed in Alameda, California, and the strips and sensors developed and manufactured in the UK, at Witney, near Oxford.
