Job Mission
The mission of the Mechanical Design Engineering Intern at ASML is to learn about the complex products that ASML designs and to create incredible products using the latest technology and manufacturing techniques, while collaborating with a team of dedicated and high-performing technical experts. Quality is at the forefront of the engineering requirements for this group and we strive to provide the best performing and highest quality products within the scope of the program schedule. In this role you will be tasked with taking an idea and turning it into a tested piece of hardware. Experienced engineers and scientists will give guidance and help solve problems, but you are in the lead. In the end you will be able to clearly show your impact with data.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesGenerate design and testing concepts to achieve the desired goal.
Perform 3D mechanical design of components.
Performs tolerance analysis at system and subsystem level.
Perform analytical analysis for thermal and structural components and sub-modules.
Works with other Engineers analysts and CAD Designers for prototype and pilot detailed design.
Work with machine shops or other suppliers to manufacture and procure custom hardware.
Interacts closely with development engineers, scientists, suppliers, and QA to resolve product and quality issues.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and ExperienceMust be pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline. Masters or PhD, preferred.
Experience using 3D CAD software, NX preferred.
Familiar with fundamentals of fluid dynamics and heat transfer.
Understanding of mass air flow sensors and pitot tube flow sensors.
Hands-on experience working in a lab environment performing experiments and collecting data.
Data processing and analysis.

This position is located on-site in Enter Location, i.e. Chandler, AZ . It requires onsite presence to attend in-person work-related events, trainings and meetings and to further ensure teamwork, collaboration and innovation.A flexible workplace arrangement may be available to employees working in roles conducive to remote work (up to two days a week).Routinely required to sit; walk; talk; hear; use hands to keyboard, finger, handle, and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and stretch. The current base annual salary range for this role is currently $18.00 - $56.00. Pay scales are determined by role, level, location and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors that that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and pay relative to other team members.
