Job Description:
Overview
This role will support our environmental team on projects involving cultural resource management, historical preservation, and archaeological impact assessments.
Responsibilities
Assist in field surveys and data collection related to archaeological sites, artifacts, and historical resources.
Collaborate with staff to analyze archaeological data and contribute to cultural resource reports.
Support the development of preservation plans and archaeological impact assessments.
Participate in the assessment and mitigation of cultural impacts associated with civil engineering projects.
Qualifications
Currently pursuing a degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, History, Geography, or a related field (Master's degree a plus).
Interest in cultural resource management and historical preservation.
Familiarity with conducting archaeological fieldwork and site surveys.
Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
Detail-oriented, good organizational skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Must be reliable, dependable and able to work independently or within a team.
Must be able to work Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm.
