Your role
We are seeking a highly motivated intern or master's thesis student to join our Molecular Pharmacology Group within the Discovery Pharmacology department. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and improving Design of Experiments (DOE) methodologies for the development of screening assays. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience and contribute to cutting-edge research in drug discovery.
Key Responsibilities:
Work closely with the lab team to understand the requirements for screening assays.Evaluate different technologies to optimize and implement DOE methodologies for assay development processes.Set up experiments and analyze and interpret experimental data to identify ways to best use the DOE processes for screening assays.Collaborate with lab teams to evaluate and improved DOE strategies.Document and present findings to the team and relevant stakeholders.
Who you are
Currently enrolled in a relevant scientific discipline at a recognized university (for internship) or pursuing a master's degree in a related field (for master thesis)Student of Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Biotechnology or equivalentStrong interest in molecular pharmacology, drug discovery, and assay developmentBroad knowledge of biological test systems and computer skillsLab experience in a molecular biology labExperience with statistical analysis and experimental design (DOE) would be a plusExcellent communication and teamwork skillsProactive, detail-oriented, and eager to learnFast learner with organizational talent and strong team player
Duration:
The internship is for a duration of 4-6 months with the possibility to extend to work on a master's thesis and will be based in Darmstadt, Germany.
