ACCS  provides support and rehabilitation treatment to persons with mental illness who are referred by the Department of Mental Health. 

This position will provide interpreting services for non-English speaking persons being served within CBFS and to do so in a manner that supports staff in promoting growth, independence and dignity for the individuals served.  Advanced knowledge of English and Spanish required.  Male gender is a Bona Fide Occupational Qualification for this position and only male candidates will be interviewed. 

 Responsibilities:

Provide interpreting services for staff and non-English speaking persons served to facilitate rehabilitation services as needed, including but not limited to day to day activities, treatment meetings, and medical appointments.Communicate in a professional manner.Take and maintain required program training requirementsParticipate in program staff meetings and supervision meetings as required by supervisor.Perform other related work duties as needed or as assigned by supervisor.Perform duties consistent with program and agency policies and procedures.Execute duties to reflect reasonable safety standards. Universal/standard precautions must be utilized and training obtained in areas that constitute risk.


 Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalency.Experience working with adults with mental illness and challenging behavioral issues.Must possess a valid driver’s license in state of residence.Advanced knowledge of English and Spanish. Previous experience in interpreting preferred.Male gender is a Bona Fide Occupational Qualification for this position and only male candidates will be interviewed
