Ensure all interpretive and educational programs include appropriate safety and resource protection messages and protocols. Provide training and coaching that effectively identifies, articulates and conveys the elements of successful interpretation. Assist with Human Resource department as needed. Follow NPS and Xanterra’s conservation practices, safety practices, and policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Education, Resources Interpretation or immediately related field or a two year degree in a directly related field. NAI certified (preferred) but can be completed at local community college. A minimum of 2 years of directly related work experience training and coaching interpreters is required. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Must be outgoing, organized, ability to learn and memorized the Park’s history and points of interest. Physical Requirements include: Must have a valid U.S. driver's license and clean driving record. Must be at least 19 years old to drive company vehicle. Must be able to climb and walk up to a mile several times a day at elevations ranging from 3500 feet to 6700 feet above sea level. Must be able to sit and stand up to 15 hours a day (typically 8-10 hours). Must be able to work outdoors in variable weather. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
