Intervention Coordinator

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday, 8-hour shift

Essential Duties:

Responsible for alI record-keeping and reporting of cognitive intervention program. Responsible for scheduling courses and directly supervising the program instructors. Provides instruction for the offenders for the cognitive intervention program. Interviews, screens, and evaluates offenders for potential program participation. Maintains offender records and other records regarding services provided to include workload statistics; and compiles data and submits reports and related documentation as appropriate. Instruct with a variety of teaching strategies. Regular and predictable attendance is required. Promote the development of positive social skills through modeling appropriate behaviors and intervening when inappropriate behaviors are observed; provide regular feedback to staff regarding social skills procedures and intervention techniques.

Qualifications:

Graduation from an accredited high school or GED required. One (1) year of documented experience in a related field.  Associate's degree in the field of psychology, sociology, counseling, social work, criminal justice, education, nursing, or health preferred.  Experience in the use of Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent to include word processing, spreadsheet, database, or presentation software programs preferred. A valid driver license in the state of Texas with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management. Must successfully complete annual in-service training requirements and pass an annual background check, both of which must be approved by the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ).
