The successful candidate:
***Shift: 4 10hr shifts 7:00AM-5:30PM with rotating or variable day off during the week***
This individual must be able to operate all routine radiographic equipment in a safe and proficient manner. They must abide by and enforce all compliance requirements and policies and perform these responsibilities in an ethical manner consistent with the organization's values. This position requires initiative, the ability to make independent judgments and a positive attitude. The candidate must be able to produce high quality imaging with a minimum of repeats. Must be able to handle multiple room assignments and all different types of exams and interventional procedures daily. Must be able to communicate with physicians, patients, families, and ancillary hospital personnel. Will participate in performance improvement initiatives. Will assist with other activities as deemed necessary for the day-to-day operation of the department (i.e. clerical duties, inventory, stocking, light housekeeping duties, etc.). May participate in the training and orientation of other employees. Position may require cross training in additional modalities as directed by the Director of Imaging.
Will recommend repairs and work process efficiencies within their area and/or the department. Shares responsibility for the maintenance of efficient scheduling, patient flow and quality assurance, as well as having an alertness for fiscal soundness within the division.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High School graduate or equivalent. Graduation from an ARRT-approved program. Completion of required hours of continuing education to remain in compliance with the ARRT continuing medical education (CME) requirement.
Certification: Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology in Radiography and licensed with the Arizona Department of Health Services.
Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
Special Skills: Fully proficient in diagnostic radiography. Must possess excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
