Responsibilities Provide clinical management for patients within interventional radiology (IR) and diagnostic imaging (DI) working collaboratively with the health care team including radiologist, imaging technologist, imaging nurses, anesthesiologist, other providers involved in the patient’s care, nurses, case management, and departments affecting the care within IR and DI. Uses a variety of skills to educate, consult, and manage IR and DI patient population and assist the patient/family, the care team, and physicians. Works with radiologist to implement necessary medical aspects of care including but not limited to consults, discharges, and pain management. Must demonstrate strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, as well as excellent team building and problem-solving skills, and a strong ability to take initiative and drive improvements. May assist in other ancillary nursing areas as needed. Garnet Health System provides a compensation range to comply with the New York State law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits. When determining a team member’s compensation and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget and internal equity) Qualifications Minimum Education: Nurse Practitioner Diploma from accredited program Minimum Experience: Three (3) years of professional nursing experience in a critical care clinical setting. Previous IR or DI experience preferred Required Certification/Registration: Licensed as a Professional Nurse by the State of New York, Current BLS required, ACLS preferred upon hire or must be obtained within 90 days of hire Physical Requirements: Standing and walking throughout the day, some sitting as well. Visual acuity required for typing, reading, filing, and using the computer. Working Conditions: Environmental Demands and Exposure to Hazards: Works in a clean, well-lighted, heated or ventilated facility. No routine exposure to hazards. For Remote and Hybrid Remote positions: If deemed operationally necessary, position may be required to report in and work on-site. Physical Demands: Demonstrates physical and functional ability to perform full anatomical range of motion to accomplish tasks. Evidence of visual and aural acuity and finger and hand dexterity to operate computer and office equipment. Can withstand long periods of sitting, standing and/or constant walking. Ability to lift 50 lbs. Mental Demands: Ability to foster collaborative relationships, to work well under pressure, to organize and synthesize new information, and prioritize tasks. Possesses critical thinking, analytical skills and flexibility. Ability to multi-task. Required detailed attention to work in an environment where interruptions cannot be controlled. Demonstrates sensitivity to customer needs and expectations.
