Interventional Radiology Nurse
Job Title: Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse to join our team. This role involves preparing patients and procedure rooms, assisting physicians during procedures, and ensuring comprehensive patient care throughout the radiology process.

ResponsibilitiesPerform various activities necessary for the preparation of the patient and the procedure room for radiology procedures in compliance with policies, procedures, and state and federal regulations.Assist physicians during procedures.Complete patient assessments, monitoring for procedures and post-care.Conduct patient education before tests and perform follow-up when necessary.Insert PICC lines and perform troubleshooting maintenance.Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care needs.Safely administer moderate sedation/medications ordered by clinicians.Submit prescriptions and refills to pharmacies per licensed clinician orders.Assist in the onboarding or cross-training of team members.Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients' conditions.Prepare rooms, sterilize instruments, equipment, or supplies, and ensure that stock of supplies is maintained.Communicate physician treatment plans, including lab/imaging results, to patients and document appropriately within the EMR.Perform other duties as assigned.RN can expect to see 2-4 patients daily if in procedures, or 6-8 daily if in clinic.Essential SkillsInterventional radiology experienceUrology and oncology knowledgeOncology nursing experienceExperience as an Interventional Radiology RNUrology expertiseBSN RN with an active IL licenseTriage skillsCertified Radiology Nurse (CRN)Minimum of 1 year experience working in a cardiac cath lab or in interventional radiologyActive BLS certificationACLS certification preferredAdditional Skills & QualificationsCertified Radiology Nurse certification preferredWork Environment

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, no weekends or holidays.

The pay range for this position is $99840.00 - $124800.00
