Aspirus Wausau Hospital in Wausau, WI is seeking an INTERVENTIONAL RADIOLOGY TECHNOLOGIST to join our INTERVENTIONAL RADIOLOGY team!The Interventional Radiologic Technologist performs radiographic examinations of the highest possible quality while limiting radiation exposure and using conventional, fluoroscopic, portable and c-arm radiology equipment. Assists physicians in procedures and provides diagnostic aid by conducting organ and body scans on patients.Administers and records isotope dosage in accordance with established department protocol.Observes the patient during procedure and reports abnormal activity.Collaborate with Radiologists during procedures to ensure patient safety and diagnostic accuracy.Perform organ and body scans to assist in providing critical diagnostic insights.Accurately administer and document isotope dosages in compliance with established departmental protocols.Monitor patients throughout procedures and promptly report any unusual or concerning activity.
This would be an excellent opportunity for a current Radiology or Imaging Technologist to add an additional role to learn additional skills!

Experience/Qualifications

Minimum of two years’ working full time in Diagnostic Radiology with previous experience in Cath Lab/Special ProceduresPossesses an in-depth knowledge of Cath Lab monitoring systems.Possesses complete and thorough understanding of the operation of all equipment and patient monitors including set-up and function: EKG, invasive pressure, NIBP, SAO2, etc.Possesses a thorough understanding of EKG rhythm.Possesses a working knowledge of both hospital and department specific computer systems.
