JOB SUMMARY:
Performs diagnostic and/or therapeutic quality imaging procedures for patient care population and participates as a member of the multidisciplinary team. Proactively supports the efforts to ensure the delivery of patient care and services and adheres to safety standards and regulatory requirements; participates in Quality Control (QC) and Performance Improvement activities.
- Operates modality specific technical equipment related to patient care imaging and collaborates with qualified physicians and support personnel in use of radiologic equipment.
- Assists with equipment and room setup for appropriate patient age and size.
-Appropriately preps and drapes patients and sets up procedure tables.
-Assists physicians as a scrub technician during interventional procedures.
-Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide age specific care to patient's needs.
-Acquires and maintains technical skills required to function completely and assist in a variety of interventional radiography procedures.
-Selects radiographic factors to ensure the least amount of patient radiation exposure while maintaining established department standards of performance.
-Responsible for radiation protection of self, patients, and other patient care team members.
-Assists with staff education by presenting scrubbing techniques and annual procedure/device competencies.
-Maintains clinical competencies in accordance with department guidelines.
-Assists in inventory management by maintaining accurate records of supplies used in each procedure.
-Performs daily and weekly quality control checks of radiologic equipment and other quality control activities as requested/ required.
-Contributes to the efficient operation of the department.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
H.S. Diploma,GED,or Equivalent
1 Year of Experience
BLS for Health Providers (AHA)
Cert Radiologic Technologist
Rad Tech Fluoroscopy Permit
ARRT- Radiography
Satisfactory completion of formal training program in an AMA approved school and meets the requirements of an appropriate State and/or Federal mandated certification or equivalent
At least one year of interventional and/or cath lab experience in a hospital or clinic setting
Proficient in sterile technique and working knowledge of various supplies and equipment in the interventional and/or cath lab procedure setting
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate's Degree
2 Years of Experience
ARRT- Vascular Interventional Radiography (VI) and/or Cardiovascular Interventional Radiography (CV)
Two years interventional scrub experience in a hospital or clinic setting
At least two years of interventional and/or cath lab experience in a hospital or clinic setting
The current salary range for this position is $52.99 to $72.23
A candidate’s placement in the range will be determined based on the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
