What you’ll be doing 

 

The Intranet Team Lead plays a pivotal role within the Corporate Intranet team, which is tasked with updating and enhancing CIBC Today, our corporate intranet site, as well as disseminating news through Workplace, our social intranet platform.


As a Microsoft SharePoint expert, you utilize its full range of capabilities to create and improve a dynamic, user-friendly intranet that promotes collaboration and efficiency. With a strong emphasis on user experience, you consistently strive to implement innovative solutions and challenge conventional practices.
In this position, you serve as the primary point of contact for all publishing requests. You evaluate these requests for completeness, compliance, and priority, and you are responsible for assigning them to team members or handling them yourself. Additionally, you conduct quality checks on completed requests to ensure business partner satisfaction.


You oversee news publishing on both CIBC Today and Workplace by Meta. In this capacity, you provide guidance to business partners on standards, processes, best practices, and service levels. You also ensure that all intranet content adheres to brand, design, editorial, accessibility, and translation standards.

You report to the Director, Corporate Intranet, and will work with partners at all levels across the bank.

You provide guidance and mentorship to the team. You provide training and look for opportunities to grow the team.  Strong business acumen – You are quick to understand difficult situations and can make sensible decisions given your thorough understanding of challenges.   Attention to detail – You’re the last check before publication. You’ll need to be able to pay extra attention to detail to ensure no mistakes make it to production.    Relationship building – You’ll stay close with your business partners. You meet regularly with them, share business updates, and proactively suggest enhancements to their sites. You create a positive work environment within the team by being an effective role model and championing CIBC’s mission, vision and values. Trusted Advisor – You have significant experience in web content management, intranet publishing and communication practices. You use this knowledge to support business partners with intranet related initiatives through news and content publishing and site design with a focus on the overall digital employee experience.
